Man United talks with Arturo Vidal's agent this weekend, £28m bid sees done deal

It seemed Juventus would be on for a sale, if the price was right, and Vidal was certainly tempted by the idea of a move to Manchester United or one of the other clubs linked... such as Real Madrid at the time. The midfielder's knee injury means his season hasn't been quite as impressive as the last and Juventus haven't been quite as reliant, and that makes a sale more possible.
Vidal has been linked to Arsenal through claims over the past couple of weeks and Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claimed on Sunday that the player's agent was in the country for talks with both the London club and Manchester United. Vidal is represented by Fernando Felicevich and he represents Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez too so travelled to London to watch the FA Cup final.
Gazzetta switch between saying he was absolutely in town for Vidal talks to that hew as probably was. They reckon a deal could be done at €40m, which works out to be about £28m. It seems an equation of two plus two equaling more than four.
The midfielder was tipped to join the Red Devils last summer, and the Daily Star reported earlier in the month that the Chilean remains a priority for Louis van Gaal.
However, Vidal has admitted that there is just one particular destination in his mind at the moment, and that is former side Colo Colo, where he spent two years before moving to Bayer Leverkusen in 2007.
Arsenal now appear to be in pole position for Vidal’s signature, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, United have resurrected their interest in the 28-year-old and will hold talks with his agent Fernando Felicevich in the coming days.
Felicevich was in London yesterday to watch Arsenal’s FA Cup final triumph, but is also understood to have a meeting with United officials on his agenda.
Juventus have previously insisted that Vidal is not for sale, but with Sami Khedira set to join the Italian side as a free agent, a £28.5million bid could tempt them to sell up.
