Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Benfica attacker Goncalo Guedes, according to reports.

United are looking for speedy forwards in the January transfer window and Guedes has been watched by Red Devils scouts.

And now Shoot says Louis van Gaal is close to signing the player in order to pep up his struggling attack.

It’s claimed United have made thrashing out a deal for the 19-year-old a priority especially with Arsenal also sniffing around.

Guedes can play on either wing or as a striker and has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.
